About Rob Froese
"I make ceramic objects for use and contemplation; sculptures that carry the feeling of something found in the woods or on the beach – marked by the forces of nature, and tableware that is made to be used and perceived for its subtle surface qualities, rewarding searching fingers or the inquiring eye." - Rob Froese
Raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Rob Froese came to ceramics through a route of travel, work, and art studies. He has maintained studios and held numerous exhibitions of his work in Canada and Japan since 1998. His formal studies include a B.A (Art, English) from the University of Saskatchewan and a B.F.A (Ceramics) from the University of Regina. In 2018, He received his M.F.A in Craft Media program at the Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary.
