These classic pieces of Canadian Design History are artifacts of Medicine Hat’s industrial past.
Produced at Hycroft China, these ceramic pieces with their unique colour palette and simple designs were once abundantly available across Canada. The factory closed in the late eighties and was donated to the Friends of Medalta Society to be preserved as a Provincial Historic Resource.
Upon entering the stilled factory, thousands of rare pieces of china were discovered. Now that production has ceased these pieces are highly collectible.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Gold and silver decorated Hycroft pieces are not microwave safe and are not recommended for use in the oven or dishwasher as the metal will wear off. Other Hycroft pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, but handwashing is recommended.
